Holiday Pops

The Merced Symphony invites you to celebrate the season with its 4th Annual Holiday Pops Concert on Sunday, November 30th at 4:00 p.m. at the historic Merced Theatre. This beloved community event will once again fill downtown Merced with music, joy, and holiday spirit. And keep in the spirit of Holiday Hits!
After the concert, audience members are encouraged to join the musicians, choirs, and community for caroling down Main Street, culminating in the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the beautifully renovated Bob Hart Square—a cherished local tradition that brings our entire community together.
The performance will be conducted by Eric Choate, who returns to the podium after previously leading one of Merced Symphony’s most memorable Holiday Pops concerts. A versatile conductor and accomplished musician, Choate’s artistry and warmth promise to make this year’s performance truly special.
This year’s concert features an exciting lineup of local favorites and special guests, including:
• Jenni Samuelson – acclaimed soprano and Merced native
• Alex Simon – Professor of Music at Merced College and Conductor of the Merced College Community Chorus
• Merced Children’s Holiday Choir – a joyful ensemble of young local singers
• Merced College Community Chorus – performing under the direction of Alex Simon
• Special Guest Stars – to be announced soon!
Together, these talented artists will bring the spirit of the holidays to life through festive favorites, timeless classics, and joyful sing-alongs that the whole family will enjoy.
